🏎️Cars

Cars are the core NFT assets in Meta Racing. Each car belongs to a specific class and rarity tier, which determines its base parameters, upgrade potential, and racing strategy. Cars function both as high-performance machines and collectible assets that drive player progression.

Car Composition

Every car consists of three main elements:

Component
Description

Car

A unique on-chain asset with a class, rarity, and visual appearance

Parts

Modular components (wings, tires, engines, etc.) that enhance car characteristics

Pilot

An NFT pilot that can be assigned to improve performance

Car Classes

Class is a fundamental attribute that determines both the vehicle's appearance and its capabilities. Each class has a distinct performance profile.

Note: Additional classes are planned for future updates.

Rarity Tiers

Rarity is a key attribute that affects a car's base characteristics and visual features. Higher rarity tiers provide advantages during NFT generation.

Car Skills

Each car has four core parameters that determine its performance on different track sections:

Skill
Effect
Best For

Acceleration

Speed gain over time

Straight sections

Handling

Cornering ability

Technical tracks with turns

Durability

Performance on rough terrain, affects degradation

Dirt/sand surfaces

Power

Ability to overcome resistance and maintain pace

Climbs and descents

Condition

Condition is a real-time indicator of car health during races. It degrades based on track conditions and is influenced by the Durability skill.

Skill Progression

  • Base skill parameters increase linearly as the car levels up

  • Skills can be further enhanced through tuning and equipping rare parts

Car Levels

Cars gain experience (XP) through race performance. Leveling up unlocks additional part slots, allowing for greater customization and power.

Progression System

  • Starting Slots: 4 part slots at Level 1

  • Maximum Level: 50

  • Maximum Part Slots: 10

Strategic Slot Unlocking

When unlocking new slots, players choose which part type to add. This creates strategic decisions:

  • Enhance existing strengths

  • Compensate for weaknesses

  • Optimize for specific track types

Slot Unlock Schedule

New part slots are unlocked at levels: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30
